1. Overview
To maintain a safe and legal marketplace, the following categories of items are strictly prohibited from being listed on OrbitVerse, across all OrbitMarket Hubs and categories.
2. Prohibited Categories
- Weapons, firearms, ammunition, and explosives
- Illegal drugs and controlled substances
- Counterfeit or replica branded goods
- Stolen goods or items without proof of legitimate ownership
- Endangered species products (ivory, exotic animal parts)
- Human remains or body parts
- Prescription medication without proper licensing
- Hazardous materials and chemicals
- Items that infringe copyright, trademark, or patent rights
- Adult content or services
- Items promoting hate speech, violence, or discrimination
- Unauthorized financial instruments (counterfeit currency, unauthorized securities)
- Items banned under Nigerian law or the law of the seller's or buyer's jurisdiction
- Live animals (except where explicitly licensed and permitted, e.g. verified livestock sellers in agriculture category)
- Personal data or stolen credentials
3. Restricted Categories
The following categories require additional verification before listing:
- Building and construction materials requiring safety certification
- Health and beauty products requiring NAFDAC registration (Nigeria)
- Automotive parts requiring safety compliance documentation
- Bulk agricultural chemicals requiring proper licensing
4. Enforcement
Listings found to violate this policy will be removed immediately. Sellers will receive a TrustScore penalty. Repeat violations result in permanent account suspension and may be reported to relevant authorities.
5. Reporting
Users can report suspicious or prohibited listings directly from the product page. All reports are reviewed within 24 hours.
